Police Bust Interstate Racket Selling Fake BP Drug Nicardia Retard

Gujarat Police arrested three men and busted an interstate racket manufacturing and selling counterfeit stocks of the hypertension medication Nicardia Retard 10. Raids were conducted at Kishan Medical Store in Nadiad, Kheda, as well as Navkar Medical Agency and Mahadev Medical Agency in Bhuj, Kutch. The crackdown began after Mumbai-based J B Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd complained to the Gujarat Food and Drugs Control Administration that fake batches of the drug were circulating in the state. Investigators traced the supply chain across multiple states, finding that stocks recovered in Kutch were supplied by AVR Medicose in Jaipur, while an Ahmedabad agency procured supplies from Sena Medical Agency in Lucknow. Two Lucknow residents had also been arrested previously on similar charges in Pune.
