Police Seize 92.79 Kg of Ganja in Andhra Pradesh and Arrest Three

The Kavali Rural Police in Andhra Pradesh arrested three persons on Friday (September 25, 2026) for smuggling ganja on NH-16 near the Musunuru toll plaza in Kavali mandal. Officers seized 92.79 kg of ganja packed in 42 packets, along with two cars and two mobile phones, during vehicle checks at 7 p.m. on Thursday (September 24). The accused were identified as Govindaraj from Tamil Nadu, alongside Muthyala Santhosh Kumar and Bangaram Raviraj from Visakhapatnam. A case has been registered at the Kavali Rural Police Station under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act. Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajitha Vejendla commended the police team for intercepting the vehicles as they traveled from Ongole toward Nellore.
