Predictions market platform Polymarket suspended trading on its international website for nearly an hour on Thursday due to a third-party security compromise. Users on Polymarket's Discord channel reported that their cryptocurrency wallets had been drained during the outage. Blockchain analysis group Arkham estimated that approximately USD 2.65 million in cryptocurrencies was siphoned from the platform. Polymarket announced that it will fully reimburse all affected traders and bring the platform back online. The company confirmed that its U.S.-based platform was unaffected by the security breach.
