Pradeep Rai Elected President of Supreme Court Bar Association

Senior advocate Pradeep Rai has been elected as the new president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) following elections held on Tuesday. Rai secured 822 votes and succeeds outgoing president Vikas Singh. During a meeting with Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Rai described the CJI as a fatherly figure and pledged the full cooperation of the Bar with the bench. The newly elected executive committee also includes Rahul Kaushik as vice-president and Pragya Baghel as secretary. The CJI urged the new office-bearers to lead by example and prioritize initiatives that support young lawyers entering the profession.
