Preston North End have dismissed manager Paul Heckingbottom following a sharp decline in form that left the club second from bottom in the Championship. The decision follows a 1-0 home defeat to Lincoln City at Deepdale, marking the team's sixth loss in seven games. Heckingbottom, who took charge in August 2024, managed 109 games but secured only five league victories since the start of January. Assistant Stuart McCall has also departed the club as part of the coaching staff shake-up.
