Experts warn that these devices, which often look like ordinary eyewear, make covert recording pervasive. While cyberstalking and online abuse are already growing issues, the likelihood of a crackdown remains low as Indian law enforcement agencies are also adopting similar AI-powered surveillance technologies. Reliance Jio is expected to launch a budget-friendly competitor to Meta’s glasses later this year.
