Producer Tells Delhi HC Kala Hiran Is Not Ready For Release

The producer of Kala Hiran: Battle for Legacy informed the Delhi High Court on Thursday that the film is not ready for OTT release because its content has not yet been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification. The submission was made before a bench of Justice Jyoti Singh during a hearing on a petition filed by actor Salman Khan seeking a stay on the film's release. Salman Khan's legal team argued that promotional materials and teasers unmistakably portray him in relation to the October 1998 blackbuck incident and ongoing legal proceedings. The suit contends that a dramatised trial infringes his fundamental right to a fair trial under Article 21 of the Constitution while matters remain sub judice before the Supreme Court and Rajasthan High Court.
