The Pune Zilla Parishad has revoked the termination of Reshma alias Devyani Pardhi, a tribal Anganwadi worker serving in Ambegaon taluka, following widespread public and political outrage. Pardhi had posted social media videos showing that white dried peas provided for children remained uncooked even after being pressure cooked for up to 10 whistles. She was terminated on August 14 after parents complained that children were not consuming the substandard food. Pune Zilla Parishad CEO Gajanan Patil stated that the action was taken due to her publishing reels during class hours rather than raising concerns through official channels. Pardhi submitted an apology letter citing her 18 years of service and seeking reinstatement, prompting the administration to reverse the decision.
