Russian President Vladimir Putin credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal attention for the recent increase in bilateral trade between India and Russia. Putin made these remarks during a meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Moscow. The two leaders are expected to meet soon on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit. Discussions between the two sides also prioritized cooperation in energy, nuclear power, and fertilizer supplies for Indian agriculture.
