New Delhi is hosting the BRICS Summit, scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam from September 12-13. Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at Palam Air Station on Friday to join other high-profile dignitaries. Other international leaders, including Brazil's Minister Mauro Vieira and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, have reached Indira Gandhi International Airport. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and several other state heads are expected to arrive through Saturday. Tight security measures have been implemented across the national capital for the duration of the event.
