· World · Euronews, Arab News, arabnews
Qatar and the UAE have stated that Gulf countries can no longer rely on the United States alone for their security. Speaking at the Hili Forum in Abu Dhabi, Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson Dr Majed Al Ansari stressed the need for regional self-sufficiency. The UAE's presidential diplomatic adviser Anwar Gargash described Iran's regional attacks as a premeditated war of choice. Gargash added that rebuilding trust with Tehran remains a significant challenge despite the geographical necessity of engagement.
