· Sports · Times of India, NDTV Sports
India finished fifth in the women’s 25m pistol team event at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya after an inexplicable zero-point shot by veteran shooter Rahi Sarnobat. Competing alongside Esha Singh and Manu Bhaker, the Indian trio posted a combined score of 1727-56x, falling short of a podium finish. Sarnobat registered a score of just 39 in the fourth series after her fourth shot yielded zero points, an error she admitted had never occurred before in her career. China secured the gold medal with 1743-68x, while South Korea and Chinese Taipei took silver and bronze respectively. Sarnobat eventually placed 30th in the individual qualification standings with 568-16x.
