Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday following the cancellation of UGC-NET examinations for Sociology, English, and Commerce. The exams, conducted between June 22 and 30, were cancelled nearly two months later after the agency admitted to setting faulty papers and repeating old questions. Thousands of candidates who appeared for the tests must now retake them in September. Gandhi questioned whether question papers were leaked prior to the exam and demanded accountability from the NTA leadership following the resignation of former education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
