Railway authorities plan to run 60 extra train services to accommodate the surge of visitors expected during the 2027 Godavari Pushkarams. Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Mohit Sonakia, along with district officials, reviewed crowd management strategies and infrastructure readiness in Rajamahendravaram. Local authorities have been directed to prepare comprehensive route maps and identify entry and exit points at key stations, including Godavari and Rajamahendravaram. The municipal corporation intends to integrate its communication and command control systems with those of the railways to streamline visitor movement. An inter-departmental action plan is currently being developed to coordinate these efforts.
