Rajampet Sub-Inspector Caught Taking Rs 30,000 Bribe by ACB

A Sub-Inspector of Police attached to the Rajampet police station in Kamareddy district was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 at his residence on Thursday. The ACB identified the official as Duvvala Anjaneyulu, who allegedly demanded the money from a complainant to grant station bail to the complainant's son in an ongoing case and to extend favours during the filing of the charge sheet. The tainted cash of Rs 30,000 was recovered from his possession at his instance during the operation. The accused official was subsequently arrested and produced before the II Additional Special Judge for Trial of SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally in Hyderabad. The case remains under active investigation by anti-corruption authorities.
