Rajasthan BJP MLA and former Cabinet Minister Jaswant Yadav passed away on Sunday morning in Jaipur at the age of 73. He had been battling cancer for a prolonged period before his death at 8:15 a.m. Mr. Yadav served as a four-time MLA and represented the Alwar constituency in the Lok Sabha. His political career began in 1998 with his victory in the Mundawar Assembly election, and he later served as a minister in the Vasundhara Raje-led state government. Following his death, the strength of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly has decreased to 199 members. A by-election for the Behror Assembly constituency is expected to take place within the next six months.
