Rajasthan civic polls: way and CPI(M) gain over Congress

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and CPI(M) emerged as primary challengers to the BJP in recent Rajasthan local elections, displacing traditional Congress influence. In Baran, the AAP secured a majority by winning 31 out of 60 wards, while the Congress took 18 and the BJP won nine. Meanwhile, in Nokha Nagar Palika, the CPI(M) won 29 of 45 wards, leaving the BJP with 13. These results suggest the Congress is struggling to consolidate itself as the main opposition in the state.
