Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told visiting Belgian Defence and Trade Minister Theo Francken that Indo-Belgian defence relations depend on Belgium refraining from signing sensitive technology pacts with Pakistan. Meeting in New Delhi, the two countries signed a defence framework pact alongside 10 individual agreements focused on industrial collaboration and military hardware production, including rockets. Francken assured the Indian delegation that Belgium has chosen India without doubt and will not cooperate with Pakistan on defence during his tenure. The discussions also explored potential joint ventures in weapon systems, ammunition, radars, and counter-drone technology.
