Ravi Rampaul urges bowlers to target Yorkers on flat Indian pitches ahead of 4th T20I
· Sports · Indian Express, News18
West Indies bowling coach Ravi Rampaul advised fast bowlers to bowl more Yorkers on flat pitches, stating the margin for error is slim against India's strong batting line-up. With limited swing in Indian conditions, bowlers must rely on execution and skill rather than pace alone. Rampaul noted Shamar Joseph's role shifted to powerplay due to his extra pace, while acknowledging Roston Chase's consistency. The advice comes ahead of the fourth T20I in the ongoing India vs West Indies series.
Why it matters
The guidance directly shapes West Indies' bowling strategy in the decisive fourth T20I, with Yorkers identified as the primary weapon against India's batting-friendly pitches.
