Ravindra and Chapman ruled out of India ODIs, Seifert named for entire series
· Sports · ESPNCricinfo, Times of India, Business Standard
Seifert has been included in India's squad for the entire ODI series against New Zealand, replacing the unavailable players. Ravindra and Chapman have been ruled out of the opening matches, with Nicholls and Foxcroft brought in for the first three ODIs and the final two games respectively. The selections were made ahead of the series opener in Hyderabad. The absence of Ravindra and Chapman creates openings for the new inclusions in the playing XI.
Why it matters
Seifert's full-series inclusion strengthens India's batting depth for the ODI series, while Ravindra and Chapman's absence reshapes the middle order for the first half of the contest.
