Authorities have seized a batch of misbranded Abhayrab rabies vaccine from an unlicensed premises in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. The Central Drugs Laboratory in Kasauli confirmed the batch, numbered KE25012, was not manufactured by Indian Immunologicals Ltd. and failed to meet standard quality requirements. Following the discovery, the Drugs Controller General of India has directed state drug controllers to maintain strict surveillance over the distribution of the affected batch. The manufacturer has issued a public statement reaffirming its quality control processes and confirming that all legitimate batches undergo independent testing.
