Remains Of 4 Slain Nagas Brought To Senapati Hospital

The remains of four Naga community members killed in an ambush in Manipur's Kangpokpi district were transported to the Senapati district hospital on Friday. The victims were attacked on Thursday while returning from a meeting in Makui village. Local authorities and the CRPF provided security as the procession moved forward during a shutdown called by the Naga People’s Organisation. One survivor, Gaikamang Ringkangmai, is currently receiving medical treatment for a forearm injury sustained during the attack. The United Naga Council has demanded a formal investigation by a Special Investigation Team.
