Rentomojo Eyes Public Market Debut; SoftBank Sells Meesho Stake

Rental startup Rentomojo is preparing for an IPO with an estimated valuation of ₹4,246 crore, marking a fivefold increase from its last private funding round in 2024. The IPO includes a fresh issue of ₹150 crore, while existing investors such as Accel and Chiratae Ventures plan to offload shares worth ₹1,106 crore. Separately, Japan's SoftBank has sold 80 million shares of the e-commerce firm Meesho for ₹1,650 crore through bulk transactions on the NSE. This sale represents a 1.7% stake in Meesho and provides SoftBank with a 3.2x return on its total investment to date. SoftBank retains a 6.9% stake in the company following the transaction.
