Model Riya Ahir, who stopped a Mumbai police van during the July 22 Gen Z protest in Shivaji Park, Dadar, has asked police to withdraw the FIR registered against her. She also wants strict action against social‑media users who threatened her online. A delegation of the Mumbai Youth Congress met Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Manoj Sharma, who said the FIR withdrawal process would be started soon and threats would be investigated. Ahir reports ongoing abusive comments since the protest and says earlier police complaints drew no concrete response. Youth Congress leaders highlighted a deadline in a notification to withdraw cases against student protestors and demanded action against harassing accounts. Muskan, another 19‑year‑old protester, is also said to be facing similar threats.
