RSS Chief Dattatreya Hosabale Alleges Conspiracy Behind Gen Z Protests
· India · Indian Express, Hindustan Times
At the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal meeting in Indore, RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale alleged that anarchic forces were provoking Gen Z protests through conspiracy, both domestically and internationally. He called for dialogue with young protesters to address their grievances rather than dismissing them as anti-national, while reaffirming support for reservation and stating the RSS has no plans to become an international organisation. Hosabale also referenced alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise that has become a political firestorm, asserting that political parties should not use it for partisan purposes. He emphasized that while regime change occurs through elections in a democracy, creating societal unrest and division is not in society's interest.
Why it matters
The RSS's call for dialogue with Gen Z protesters could influence how youth grievances are addressed nationally, while its defence of reservation and rejection of internationalisation signals ongoing ideological positioning that may shape future political and social dynamics in India.
