RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale Emphasises Youth Dialogue
· India · Hindustan Times, PTI
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale stated on Wednesday that youth aspirations and grievances require careful attention and constructive dialogue. Speaking in Indore following a three-day annual RSS meeting, Hosabale accused anarchic forces within and outside the country of attempting to provoke young people for social division and political gain. He referenced historical student movements such as the 1970s JP movement against Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to note that anti-establishment feelings are common among young generations. The discussions also addressed public anger over recent paper leaks that resulted in the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan in July, alongside electoral roll revision disputes. Hosabale reiterated that reservations should continue until social and educational inequalities are fully removed.
Why it matters
The remarks from a senior leader of the BJP's ideological mentor signal the ruling establishment's strategy to address youth discontent and competitive politics ahead of future electoral battles.
