· Entertainment · Bollywood Hungama, Times of India
Salman Khan has postponed a scheduled public appearance for GB Realty at Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai. The event was originally set for 8 October 2026. The postponement follows the sudden demise of veteran actor Nana Patekar, who passed away at age 75 due to cardiac arrest in Goa. Nana Patekar was accorded a state funeral with full honours by the Maharashtra government. His last rites were performed at his farmhouse in Donje, near Pune. Salman Khan and Nana Patekar co-starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Khamoshi The Musical.
Why it matters
The postponement reflects the deep respect and personal bond Salman Khan shared with Nana Patekar within the Indian film industry. It also underscores the widespread impact of Patekar's passing on Bollywood and Marathi cinema communities.
