Samsung Rolls Out SmartThings Redesign to iOS First Ahead of Android
· Technology · Android Authority, Gadgets360
Samsung is rolling out a major SmartThings app redesign with version 1.7.51, featuring a refreshed Home tab, compact device cards, and faster hub controls. The update introduces Routine Insights, which highlights a user's top three most frequently used routines and their recent activity. Despite being a Samsung ecosystem app, the redesign is rolling out on iOS devices first, leaving Galaxy and Android users waiting. The new interface brings a lighter colour scheme, a floating navigation bar, and pill-shaped cards that distinguish between primary action triggers and full controls. Samsung's release notes confirm the rollout is currently live on the Apple App Store in regions including Canada.
Why it matters
Galaxy users miss out on initial access to Samsung's most significant smart home app overhaul in years, as iOS users receive the update first.
