SC and ST MPs Lack Adequate Speaking Time in Parliament, Says NDA Ally

Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stating that MPs from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are not given adequate time to speak during legislative discussions. Mr. Patel, representing the Khargone reserved constituency in Madhya Pradesh, noted that many parliamentarians felt sidelined during debates on important Bills. Mr. Manjhi urged the Lok Sabha Speaker to take corrective steps to ensure fair participation for all members. The discussion took place during a quarterly meeting designed to air grievances among alliance parliamentarians.
