A search operation is ongoing for four American family members missing after their small plane disappeared off the coast of Andros Island, Bahamas. The aircraft, a PA-34 Piper with tail number N212ML, departed Great Harbour Cay on Monday morning before losing contact with air traffic control. The missing individuals are identified as Mario Lamar Sr., Lili Lamar, Sofi Sosa, and Christian Sosa. The U.S. Coast Guard is assisting the Royal Bahamian Defense Force in the search, though poor weather conditions have hampered efforts. Mario Lamar Sr. was reportedly an experienced pilot with over 40 years of flying experience.
