Security Forces Kill LeT Terrorist Yasir in Jammu and Kashmir

Security forces killed a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist identified as Yasir in the higher reaches of Yusmarg, central Kashmir, on Saturday. Officials stated Yasir was a Pakistani national linked to Hafiz Saeed's outfit and was involved in multiple terror attacks in 2024. His alleged actions include the May 4 ambush of an Indian Air Force convoy in Poonch and the October 24 attack on an Army vehicle in Bota Pathri, which resulted in the deaths of soldiers and civilians. The operation, named Operation Ashdar, followed intelligence regarding terrorist movement through the Pir Panjal mountains. Yasir was reportedly operating under commander Junai Ahmed Bhat, who was killed by security forces in December 2024.
