Akie Abe and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath jointly opened the Shinzo Abe Memorial Corridor at the Rudraksh Convention Centre. Akie Abe expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India on the day marking Modi's 25 years in public office. Yogi Adityanath addressed the gathering, stating that the corridor symbolises the strategic, cultural, and diplomatic ties between India and Japan. Akie Abe also recalled her husband's 2015 visit to Kashi and highlighted the cultural significance of the 108 rudrakshas featured at the convention centre.
