Shivamogga Murder Accused Shot by Police During Escape Attempt

Umesh, the prime accused in the murder of a man named Kiran, was shot in the left leg by police in Shivamogga on Monday. According to Superintendent of Police B. Nikhil, the incident occurred when the accused allegedly assaulted a constable while being taken to a restroom. Tunga Nagara police station Inspector K.T. Gururaj fired a warning shot before shooting the accused in the leg. Umesh is currently receiving treatment at McGann Hospital, while three other individuals, identified as Babu Rajendra, Sunil, Bhuvan, and Manoj, have also been arrested in connection with the case.
