India Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill scored 40 runs off 21 balls on his Sher-E-Punjab T20 league debut for the Fazilka Falcons against the Ludhiana Lions at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Opening the batting, Gill hit seven fours and one six, beginning his innings with consecutive boundaries off India international Arshdeep Singh. He was eventually dismissed by leg-spinner Kartik Chadha in the 10th over, while the Falcons finished their innings at 170/9. Gill recently featured in India's 1-0 Test series victory against Sri Lanka.
