Skoda Unveils 4th‑Gen Superb Diesel for India, Launch 2027

· Automobile · RushLane, CarDekho, Team-BHP

Skoda has announced that the 4th‑generation Skoda Superb diesel will be offered in India from mid‑2027 after unveiling the model in Mumbai alongside the Slavia facelift. The new version will use a 2.0‑liter turbocharged diesel producing 147 bhp and 360 Nm, paired with a single 7‑speed DSG and limited to front‑wheel drive, unlike the all‑road AWD version previously shown at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. It will be imported as a fully built unit (CBU) but Skoda says local assembly could be considered depending on customer response. Dimensions are 4,912 mm long, 1,849 mm wide, 1,511 mm high, with a 2,841‑mm wheelbase and 18‑inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin shares many amenities with the Kodiaq, including tan Cognac leather, 10 airbags, Level‑2 ADAS, and a dedicated rear climate zone, but it lacks a sunroof.

Why it matters

The launch adds a premium diesel‑engine variant to Skoda’s Indian lineup, giving buyers a new executive‑sedan option that blends fuel efficiency with luxury, potentially attracting business users who prefer diesel reliability.
