Smriti Mandhana smashed 124 off 64 balls against Hong Kong in Dubai on Thursday to overtake Meg Lanning as the leading century-maker in women's international cricket, reaching 18 hundreds to Lanning's 17. The India vice-captain brought up her century in just 57 deliveries, accelerating from her fifty with a blistering 17-ball century-second phase that included 14 fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of 193.75. Her innings powered India Women to 193/5 in their Women's Asia Cup 2026 clash and set a new record for the highest individual score in Women's T20 Asia Cup history, surpassing Chamari Athapaththu's 119. Mandhana was run out off the final delivery while attempting a quick single, but the damage was done. Earlier, Shafali Verma had contributed 28 off 17 before falling.
