Social Media Influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj Arrested Under POCSO Act

Delhi Police apprehended social media influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday. The arrest follows a fresh FIR registered against him under the POCSO Act and the addition of SC/ST Act sections to an existing case. Bhardwaj was previously accused of assaulting the father of a minor activist during a protest at Jantar Mantar in July. Local residents in Naithla village reported that Bhardwaj had been staying at a private residence in an attempt to evade law enforcement. Delhi Police crime branch officials took him into custody from the village at approximately 2 pm.
