Sooryavanshi Falls Short of Breaking Tendulkar’s Record in Duleep Trophy

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi missed out on breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record by eight runs during the Duleep Trophy semifinal between East Zone and Central Zone in Chennai. The 15-year-old was dismissed for 92 off 81 balls while attempting to clear the deep midwicket fence. Tendulkar remains the second-youngest Indian to score a First-Class century, achieving the feat at 15 years and 230 days in 1988. Sooryavanshi, however, became the youngest player to score a half-century in the Duleep Trophy.
