South Central Railway Renews 135 km of Track and Completes 20 RUBs to Boost Safety

South Central Railway has undertaken track renewal works over 135.22 km and completed 20 road underbridges since April to strengthen operational safety across its Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Nanded divisions. Addressing Independence Day celebrations in Hyderabad, general manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava stated that the zone earned the National Signal and Telecommunications Award for its contributions to the Kavach and digital interlocking systems. The infrastructure achievements for the current financial year include completing the Kazipet-Balharshah tripling project alongside doubling the Manyamkonda-Mahabubnagar section. The zone registered a gross originating revenue of 4,060.57 crore rupees, driven by 2,640.80 crore rupees in freight earnings and 1,236.88 crore rupees in passenger revenue. To enhance connectivity, SCR introduced four new pairs of train services, regularised 31 pairs of special trains, and expanded its solar power capacity to 13.34 MWp.
