SpiceJet Passengers in Pune Face Hours-Long Delays on Dubai and Delhi Flights

SpiceJet passengers travelling from Pune have endured repeated delays of up to 14 hours on flights to Dubai and Delhi over the past week. Flight SG-51 to Dubai, scheduled to depart at 9 pm daily, was delayed by over 11 hours on Wednesday and by nearly six hours on Thursday, with two earlier cancellations on August 30 and September 1. On the domestic route, flight SG-937 from Pune to Delhi, scheduled for 5.55 am, was repeatedly pushed back to 7.15 pm and finally departed around 8 pm, landing at 9.53 pm. Passengers complained of long queues at Pune airport's baggage drop counter and said no compensation was offered despite the airline's policy. SpiceJet stated that passengers had been informed in advance of a schedule change; Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu also reacted to the incident.
