Spotify Adds Playlist Notes for Songs, Podcasts and Audiobooks
· Technology · Gadgets360, The Mac Observer, GSMArena
Spotify has added a feature that lets playlist creators attach explanatory notes to songs, podcast episodes and audiobooks. The notes appear in the playlist editor and can be added by users who manage public or private playlists. They allow curators to explain why a track was chosen or give listeners extra context. The release notes do not mention a launch date or whether the feature is exclusive to premium subscribers. This is Spotify’s first text‑based commentary option that applies across all audio categories.
Why it matters
Playlist notes give curators a way to communicate intent, which can help listeners discover and understand playlists more easily, benefiting both creators and audiences worldwide, including users in India.
