Spotify has rolled out a global mobile update allowing parents to prevent children's music from influencing their personal recommendation profiles and year-end Wrapped summaries. The new toggle ensures that nursery rhymes, Disney songs, and animated movie soundtracks no longer dominate personalized playlists such as Discover Weekly and Daily Mix. The feature applies retroactively, meaning accumulated family streams will be immediately removed from a user's top annual tracks and artists once the setting is disabled. Accessible to both Free and Premium tier subscribers, the toggle can be found within the content and display section of the app settings. The company introduced the update to address long-standing user complaints regarding shared household devices like smart speakers and car stereos.
