Murali Sreeshankar and David Patturaj Solomon advanced to the men's long jump final at the Asian Games in Nagoya on Sunday. Sreeshankar finished second in Group B with a best effort of 7.84m, while Solomon secured third place in Group A with a jump of 7.62m. Vithya Ramraj and Anu Raghavan also progressed from the women's 400m hurdles heats, clocking 55.73 seconds and 55.84 seconds respectively. In the decathlon, Tejaswin Shankar dropped from first to third place after finishing third in the discus throw with a best mark of 36.77m. Meanwhile, Manju Rani finished sixth in the women's marathon race walk with a time of 3:40:17, and Priyanka Goswami was disqualified after the 9km mark.
