· India · Hindustan Times, The Hindu, Zee News

A stampede-like situation at Ujjain’s Mahakal Nagchandreshwar temple on Monday left several devotees injured. According to injured devotees, crowds had gathered at Harsiddhi Chauraha after being stopped during their temple visit due to swelling crowds and an upcoming aarti. The situation escalated suddenly when barricades were opened, triggering a rush that caused barricades and a tent to collapse. Devotee Sagar reported that both of his legs were caught under a fallen barricade, resulting in a fracture. Injured individuals and their families alleged poor crowd management and a lack of immediate assistance at the site before they were moved to health camps and hospitals.
