Fewer than 20 commodity vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend as regional blockades continue to restrict energy shipments. Data from the shiptracker Kpler shows only four vessels crossed the strait on Sunday, following 13 transits on Saturday. Traffic volumes have remained suppressed throughout the week ending August 21, with many vessels aborting planned routes or diverting north due to recent attacks. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency reported that total transits for the seven-day period reached 89 exits and 103 entries, significantly below standard levels.
