Stripe has agreed to acquire OpenRouter for $7.5 billion, representing a significant increase from the startup's $1.3 billion valuation in May. Under the terms of the transaction, founders will receive $1.5 billion, while investors will take the remaining $6 billion. Stripe outbid competing offers from firms including Databricks for the fast-growing startup.
