Supreme Court Criticizes Gurugram's Infrastructure During Rains

The court also clarified that additional FAR should not be used to regularise illegal construction. Chief Justice Surya Kant noted that Gurugram's infrastructure, such as roads and sewer lines, has not improved despite additional construction. The court also raised concerns about Bengaluru's infrastructure, citing traffic problems and pressure on existing facilities. The Premium FAR scheme allows property owners to buy additional construction rights by paying premium charges, aiming to facilitate vertical development and generate revenue for urban local bodies.
