Supreme Court Judges and Lawyers Collaborate in Special Lok Adalat

The Supreme Court launched a three-day special Lok Adalat on Friday to address its significant case backlog. In a departure from standard procedure, judges sat alongside lawyers and senior advocates to mediate disputes in courtrooms. The initiative, titled SAMADHAN Samaroh, involves 15 benches hearing matters related to banking, matrimonial issues, motor accidents, and taxation. Litigants participated both physically and virtually, with judges verifying that settlement deeds were signed voluntarily. The court plans to continue these sessions through the weekend to resolve pending litigation.
