Justices emphasized that priests cannot claim a garnishee right over offerings intended for the deity. While counsel for the priests argued that certain cash collections are protected by a civil court decree as usufructuary rights, the court maintained that accountability must come first. Additionally, the court ordered that any property purchases using temple funds require prior judicial approval.
