Surrey has signed Indian fast bowler Auqib Nabi for their upcoming three County Championship fixtures as the club attempts to avoid relegation from Division One. The 29-year-old is set to feature in home matches against Yorkshire and Glamorgan, along with an away game against Sussex at Hove. Surrey currently sits in eighth place, holding a three-point lead over the relegation zone after winning only one of their 10 matches this season. Nabi recently earned a call-up to the India Test squad following a successful domestic campaign where he took 60 wickets in the Ranji Trophy for Jammu and Kashmir. Director of Men's Cricket Alec Stewart stated the signing was necessary to bolster bowling options due to a congested schedule of six matches in six weeks.
